How Our Premarital Counseling and Newlywed Coaching Works

Skills

  • Communication & Conflict Resolution: Learn critical skills to take your communication to the next level, and tools for both minimizing and mitigating conflict.

  • Intimacy Enhancement: Expand your understanding and awareness of your similarities and differences relative to intimacy and sex.

Plans

  • Parenting: Plan if, when, and how you will become parents, as well as develop plans for tackling the job of parenting.

  • Roles: Define roles and responsibilities in a fair and balanced way that works best for your specific relationship.

  • Financial Planning: Strategize your approach to finances as a couple, near- and far-term.

  • Relationship Goals: Learn techniques to keep your relationship strong through the decades.

Space

  • Neutral Environment: Enjoy a judgment-free, neutral space to engage in honest and open dialogue about your hopes for the relationship, any fears you may have, and expectations for your future together.

Other Benefits for Premarital Clients

  • State-Approved Curriculum: Our program is approved by the State of Texas “Twogether in Texas” program.

  • Marriage License Discount: Upon completing the eight-hour program, receive a Certificate of Completion, entitling you to a $60 discount on your Texas marriage license and waiving the 72-hour waiting period.

What you’ll do

  • You and your partner will take the Prepare/Enrich Assessment, an essential tool for gaining new insights on your relationship.

  • Individually, you will each use our workbook to answer a variety of questions exploring your family backgrounds, beliefs, values, and views on intimacy, spirituality, parenting, finances, and more.

  • You will then privately share your answers as a couple, identifying areas of concern or disconnects that are specific to you.

  • During our sessions together, we’ll discuss what you discovered, as well as explore results from the Prepare/Enrich Assessment. We will use our unique couple-to-couple format to explore solutions to any disconnects, learn more through discussion and exercises, and unlock new perspectives and possibilities.

  • Each session will immediately equip you and your partner with new skills and understanding to elevate your relationship to new heights.

Let us help you begin the adventure of marriage on the right path!
